How are statistics usually recorded in team darts leagues?
In most team darts leagues, each match consists of several individual games played between players from each team. These games are usually singles matches and pairs matches, with each game contributing to the overall team score.
In LeagueRepublic, you can configure this by creating a Game Format that records the result of each game within the match. The system then automatically calculates team match results and individual player statistics, such as wins and achievements like 180s.
This article explains the typical setup used by many darts leagues.
For other aspects of running a league (scheduling, websites, standings etc.), see the Getting Started Guide.
Typical Darts Match Structure
A typical team darts match might include:
5 singles games
2 pairs games
Example match structure:
Each game contributes to the overall match score.
LeagueRepublic uses these results to generate player leaderboards and statistics across all teams.
Step 1 - Create the Game Format
To record each game in the match, you first need to create a Game Format.
Go to:
Setup > Statistics Setup > Game Formats
Create a new game format (for example Format1) and select Yes to record the score.
Add Game Groups
You now define the different types of games in the match.
Game Group 1 - Singles
Settings:
Description: Singles
Short Description: SNG
Configuration:
Number of Games: 5
Number of Players per Team: 1
Sequence: 1
This means the match will contain five singles games.
Game Group 2 - Pairs
Settings:
Description: Pairs
Short Description: PRS
Configuration:
Number of Games: 2
Number of Players per Team: 2
Sequence: 2
This defines two pairs matches in the fixture.
Click Add New to save the format.
Step 2 - Set Up Individual Player Statistics
Many darts leagues track individual achievements such as:
180s
High finishes
Player wins
To record these, create Individual Stat Types.
Go to:
Setup > Statistics Setup > Individual Stat Types
Here you can create statistics such as 180s and record them when entering match results.

Step 3 - Create Calculated Statistics (Optional)
LeagueRepublic can also calculate statistics automatically based on recorded data.
For example, you might create statistics such as:
Total 180s
Average scores
Player performance metrics
To set these up, use Calculated Statistics.
Go to:
Setup > Statistics Setup > Calculated Statistics
See the full guide here:

Recording Darts Match Results
Once your game format and statistics are configured, you can enter results for each match.
When entering results you can:
